Ah, the universal question of "Why are we here?" Okay, so the context is a little less broad and not nearly so deep here, but it's still such a relevant part of each individual story (with new insights for Luke and Anna in ways that have ties to canon- with creative twists), and so significant in terms of what separates Ryan from the rest, even if that knowledge hasn't been made "public" to the other Lions- or even a larger circle.
I was relieved to learn that Oliver Twisted hasn't fooled anyone. His truly disturbing personality and very unsettling nature seems to shine through, with Seth not falling for his act and at least one adult putting him on the radar. Unfortunately, I from your very cruel "fallen" cliff hanger, I'm left fearing that Ryan still pays a painful price and has already become O.T.'s target of choice- as well as A.J.'s. Climbing on its own would be fraught with pitfalls for Ryan, but with "J" and his lack of balance- physical and mental, O.T. and his own special brand of malicious crazy... This can't end well.
Let's stick with the more positive double entendre instead of "cliche." Rock climbing, "splat" illusions from canon, fear of heights, and redrum crazy O.T. are all the opportunity anyone needs.

My apologies for the somewhat cliched 'cliffhanger'- but I couldn't very well pass up the opportunity provided by rock climbing and Oliver, could I?
