Were there more . . . ?

Cless Alvein, Mint Adnade, Arche Klaine . . . And Suzu.  Suzu Fujibayashi.  A heroic young ninja from the hidden village of Japon.  I don't recall if she'd accompanied us on our journey, but.  I seem to remember this girl with a fair bit of fondness.  As well as . . . I think Emil isn't feeling so good or something. He was acting kinda weird last time I talked to him. Maybe he remembered something big, or maybe he's got a fever. Yeah right, Lloyd, that's a pretty dumb excuse. Nobody would buy that! No wonder Professor Raine could always tell when I was faking being sick... What I mean is, he doesn't seem like the type of guy who'd skip out on classes for no reason, you know?

...By the way, is something up, Professor? You seemed kinda distracted today.

Ah.

Actually, I'd caught wind of that as well. Under normal circumstances, I imagine he'd be terribly embarrassed, and I'd get a flood of apologies. Something definitely is wrong if that doesn't happen.

And I suppose it wouldn't hurt to tell you. I've gotten some more memories back -- They concern . . . time travel.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

Hmmm... Time travel. Can people actually do that?

But hey! You were all excited that I might be from your past. Time travel isn't too much of a stretch, if you think about it. I mean, look around! You've got people from all kinds of different places thrown together already.

That's true enough, but . . . well, the island is to blame for that. I'm not too sure what's to blame here. If my memories are accurate, it seems that Cless and Mint came to my time from the future to seek out mages to fight against an enemy of some sort from their time.

It sounds unbelievable, doesn't it?

Going to school is useless.

Welp, no doubt about it. Wonder if I can get ahold of that exorcist girl.

Useless? You know everything there is to possibly know already, then?

I know what I need to know already. What's the use of sitting around in classrooms and listening to people talk about things that don't matter all day?

Alright. Let's hear your idea of what matters, then. Granted, Home Economics is certainly the most useful class in the world, but.

...Time travel is possible in your world?

I hadn't thought so, but. I met a man the other day tinkering with a time-travel machine. I had the chance to take a quick look, and I believe it would have been possible to fuel the machine on the power of mana alone. And if he could build one, then . . .

But it's still an unimaginable thought. 100 years into the future . . .

That's amazing! I wonder if you really could make it work...?

No. It would require an incredible amount of mana to move through time even a single day. I do not have the resources at my disposal here -- And I doubt the island would appreciate it if I devised a method to siphon off its own reserves.
