Big20in20: 20 Kenpachi/Jushiro icons + 21 Alts
These...were big pain in the asses to make...but I enjoyed them nonetheless.

Technical
1. Gradient: For this, I used a subtle radial white-to-black gradient. Doesn't stand out much, but it illuminates much of the center, fading to dark at the sides.
2. Complex: This is what happens when I use too many textures and general BS. Wanted to do something else, but I was lazy.
3. Wide: I actually prefer the one without text, but what the hell?
4. Centric Small Crop: Believe it or not, I actually got the idea for this "peek-a-boo" thing in the shower, when I was mulling over just what else I can icon given the lack of panels for these two. C'mon, Kubo, give 'em more screen/paper-time!
5. Half and Half: Actually wanted to use Category #1 for this, but ended up with this one.
Interpretative
1. Lost: First started on this theme, but the icon I made was complete BS, so I decided to make a new one at the very last minute. Still not as good though...
2. Epic: Jushiro's eyeballs = ♥
3. Hope: I thought of the first Yachiru when I made this one.
4. Close: First thing that came to mind. I interpret "let me know" as "asking for permission" for...eh-hem...something. *cough*sex*cough*
5. Conflict: The second theme I got started on. Ended up a total BS, made a new one.

Because these two never have a scene together, except during a handful of episodes wherein they're in the captains' meetings, I had to cut open the manga - and my own brain just to make these five work.
1. I prefer the one without text though...but in my mind's eye, I see this icon as something leading up to...something.
2. One of my personal favs. Note how Jushiro's hair strands appear to connect and "flow" with Kenpachi's cheekbone.
3-4. The quote "if I die fighting, I'd die laughing" is actually spoken by Kenpachi and Yumichika during episode 247, but I thought it would fit in here. But really, I just adore that quote.
5. The colours burn my eyes. XD
Artist's Choice
1. I don't know what I was thinking when I made this one. I just love Jushiro's little chibi self, and the texture just sort of jumped at me.
2. Chibi Jushiro = ♥ And I raped him with flowers in the alts.
3. I hate the red. What was I thinking? It's such blatant brush-painting! Dx Though I love Kenpachi's sexy as hell grin. Nnoitra did the stupidest thing on earth, ripping his eyepatch off like that.
4. Don't ask where I got that from. I just had the urge to watch The Simpsons.
5. It was hard to get this one together. Followed a tutorial, but didn't come out as a I wanted. (Results for those are in the alts.) So, with my being ridiculously tired and irritated, I just went for such a composition.
Ugh, long ass notes is long ass notes. I'm going to bed.
