Angel was in the office, sitting in his chair. His chair that spins. The chair he's spinning in. It's a very fun thing to do when waiting for someone to save.
Speaking of which.
He heard the same sound of metal and put his feet to the floor.
And arrived at the source just in time to see the weapon break.
Lois still had the shattered mace in her hand when she turned to look at him, until her attention was dragged back to the person in front of her. The sword swiped over her head, and she ducked, before breaking left and running towards where the other guy was standing, vaulting herself over the front counter, and dragging him down with her.
"Really? Really? There's a ninja-clad assassin in the room, and you're worried about a broken mace?"
"Do you have any idea what it's going to cost to replace that?"
Because of course that's what Angel would focus on.
His concern with damage expenses didn't stop said ninja-clad assassin to attack again, this time him. He dodged the first easily, then caught the next--though he was honestly struggling to hold it back.
Alia shoved him back against the counter, studying him for a moment, before realizing that he wasn't the one she wanted. She gave a frustrated growl, before shoving off him, and frowning.
"You are not the one I'm looking for."
And she was gone in the blink of an eye.
Just as she zoomed out of sight, Lois popped up from behind the counter with a frown. "That ... was weird."
