I was disappointed when I saw Malcolm McDowell wouldn't be playing Metallo, but Jerry O'Connell is returning as Captain Marvel. I'm kind of torn, but am all over this DVD regardless!

Amanda Waller's voice actor is returning too!

Jerry O'Connell didn't return - Corey Burton played the Big Red Cheese.

(Seriously, though, this movie is easily the weakest DC Animated Movie dealie yet - not because of anything wrong with the movie itself, but because it's based on a really dumb comic.)

I read the comic and at the time it seemed like nothing more then an excuse to have Batman and Superman engage in normal conversation which by itself is cool. The Jeph Loeb's second motivation seemed to be just throwing any character he wanted in be damned if doing so means they are completely out of continuity or character. I was excited somewhat for this movie till I remember that after seeing how horribly out of character Power Girl is and how somehow the Wisdom of Solemon would allow Captain Marvel to side with Luthor under such of flimsy pretext.

...or why anyone would team with Major Force seeing how many women in the DC universe he has murdered. So many issues that it can drive a fanboy mad. But, if you don't know the characters outside of the cartoons I guess it is something that can slide.

It gets better. Michael Dorn is Black Manta and LeVar Burton is Black Lightning. WOOOOO STAR TREK!

See, now you've ruined it by making it all nerdy.

Ruined it...or made it better?

Ignore Star Trek and think of it more as Reading Rainbow Black Lightning. All better now.

BTW congratulations! Wish I could have been at the wedding.

Yeah, it's true about Arcee -- she's incredibly hard to get right on the first transform, and the instructions aren't well-written. (The cowling coming apart is obvious-why in the end, though. Or I thought so.) That's actually a huge part of why I like her; she's one of the few Transformers who worked for me as a puzzle instead of just a difficult set of directions.

I'm biased towards her, though.

Oh, and and: so far as I can tell, they didn't use her original colour because it often looks like ass deployed on plastic toys. Seriously, it's the sort of thing which looks best in 2D.

I think he's referring to the purple used on the first Movie Arcee, not the hot pink used in G1.

Oh! Yeah, well, on that one I'm just assuming it didn't look right as whatever bit of the combiner Arcee will represent, so they handed it off to FlareMoonElitaRaceUp.

Be sure to post a review of Superman/Batman! Because everything I've read from people who do bad things like pirating say it's not all that. But you know how the internet is, all "This is terrible" this, and "Worst. Superhero movie. Ever." that. I really need to stop hanging around /co/...

Being a Blockbuster employee, I got to see Batman/Superman over the weekend, and the whole time I kept thinking to myself "I know what Bruce is thinking..." "Clark thinks he knows what I'm thinking right now..." "We're the same but different...different but the same."

Sadly, they do not make out.

The movie was seriously awesome though. Great voice work from the usual cast, and above-average high quality fight scenes. Strongly recommended to anyone on the fence about it.
