Thoughts on the move

Still confused about integrating into my new city and life. I myself haven't really digested what it means to have shut down a familiar life and moved lock, stock & barrel to an unknown environment. Perhaps I was optimistic about how soon we could achieve socialized normalcy. I wonder if introverts find moves easier ( Read more... )

Good analysis. Yes, here, too, people lead busy lives, and since your parents are perceived to be around, you may not be getting the helpful tips or other offers of help that you might have got. Living in another person's home, even if it is one's own parent or child, is always tough.Just let the love of that parent, and his delight in having your children around, wash over you. Over time, the logistics will slowly fall into place (with a few hiccups of course). You will also find the communities you'd like to belong to, and make good friends. As of now, I see you having a fairly tight schedule on weekdays!

Visiting live journal after a long time and found your post

There are a bunch of runners who come to mini forest everyday. Also a group called Runners for life my son used to run with. Also have a friend who currently runs on Sundays at Cubbon Park with a group. Can put you in touch with him.
