Since the sitcom "Outsourced" only puts out an episode once a week, D and I have taken to watching Ted talks over dinner, or while doing chores around the house. We've seen several amazing ones and are very grateful for a regular source of inspiration and thought (other than emails from our friend U!). Both are wonderful. I particularly love the first one, about measuring success in things that (in my humble opinion) really matter. I found that particular vid really inspiring.

I agree also that we have to stop measuring countries by economical success alone. There are surveys stating that New York City (Particularly Manhattan) is one of the most "stressed" and "loneliest" cities. But there was this book I read, and I was starting to notice how easy is to lose the myriad of opportunities of human interaction (many only count the deeper connections, but, while they are important, there is more to life than that, people wise and otherwise.

Of course, that's just another element of happiness, but it is a powerful one. In our rushed lives at times we seem to forget these small miracles of joy though.
