True. Our choices are as much a factor as the choices we make for our children. I guess two things have been bothering me about diapers:
1) The choices are inadequate. It's either the inconvenience of cloth or the convenience of environmentally wicked disposables. There is only one environmentally reasonable alternative that is also a disposable, but they are very hard to get (I've been on the Amazon wait list for the product, but they haven't yet got it in stock), and they are of course expensive as can be.
2) If your child is as bad for the environment as you are, there is a balance there. But when your choices make your children far worse for the environment than you are, the itch begins to find a better alternative.
