I was especially pained to be under the beautiful Florida weather - the cold I caught from my coworkers came during inconveniently while we had our last twosome vacation

I am worried that you are pushing yourself too hard...and worried that you still don't seem to accept that a pregnant you is just as beautiful as the non-pregnant you. Please go easy on yourself. Fitness is NOT the only thing in life. A little unfit and happy is surely good.
Fitness isn't everything, but health is. And I don't have my health right now. I can't shit, eat, bend, sleep, lie down or breathe with comfort. That's pretty powerful in its capacity to depress.
Actually, I don't agree that you don't have your health. Pregnancy is a condition that makes high demands of the mother, and it is your exceptional fitness that is enabling you to bear what I feel are also more-than-usual demands...
But I agree that difficulty with one's body is powerful cause of depression!
I agree - you are expecting too much from your body. Listen to it. When you are tired, rest. When you need to cry, cry it out! When you have some energy, go for a walk (not a run). You pushing yourself will only have even more negative consequences on yourself and your baby.
Every woman I've ever talked to either loved being pregnant or hated it. There doesn't seem to be an in-between. I loved it, but I hated the first three months of motherhood. Nothing about pregnancy/motherhood is meant to be easy. There are only people who make it look easy. :)
Give in to your mood swings. They are natural and easier to handle if you go with the flow rather than fight it. Have you checked online for pregnancy support groups? Those were my lifeline...finding other women who felt the same way as you...the best medicine, hands down.

Thank you, I think I'll be done for a while now. The venting has been therapeutic. More than pushing myself, I'm just tired of not feeling healthy. I'm weary, can't shit, eat, bend, lie down, breathe or sleep without pain and that's more than annoying. Am at home replying here instead of at the gym today. I think a lot is a function of this wretched cold and congestion.
I'm sure a lot has to do with the cold and congestion. Normally, that would make you feel bad and in pain. Now your body is doing a lot more - fighting off the illness AND growing a new life. Best thing is to just try to give your mind a little leeway and your body a little pampering.

And vent away! If it helps, then go for it. :)
