Found the concept of www.kiva.org fascinating for a variety of reasons.

Kiva is a non profit California organization that links up entrepreneurs in 3rd world countries with lenders anywhere. Kiva partners with local microcredit lending institutions to locate these entrepreneurs. They post their profile and through Kiva, solicit lenders for that ( Read more... )

When I can just respond to that nice Nigerian billionaire who offered to fund my business idea -- all I have to do is send him my bank routing number. What could be simpler?
