This puts me in mind of the artisan who must have fitted all those inlays in the Taj Mahal...do you think he would have had very similar thoughts? Wondered who would ever appreciate his work,and think about him, rather than a blanket thought of "Oh,Shah Jahan built this for Mumtaz Mahal!"...?
You know...appreciation of someone's work happens more often than one would think...but communication of that appreciation to the person responsible...that is rarer, and therefore,all the sweeter when it does happen.
I had such a rare moment yesterday, when three people put up their hands at the Naturalists' Training Program and said that they signed up because of my blog. Oh, I know one should be self-actualized and all...but the moment feels so great!
