Mothers' day

When I go to the temple, I often use the deities to meditate on various aspects of my life. Parvathi has always represented my mother and I often cry as I "pray" to her, or reflect on various aspects of her or her life. I wonder how much of her personality came out because she was busy being mother to you...and how much of that you saw and learned from. :-)

I know for myself, I can't remember (or want to remember) what my life was life before Maya and Nadia. I bet that your mom is the same.

Sorry I've been so quiet on your blog - between work and the family, it's amazing I keep up with even reading LJ anymore.

Brief and moving.

Oftentimes I am in the same situation than you. Not only when I pray to gods but also at times when I see some movies and read some books, I am meditating in aspects that have touched me for its parallelism with my family. I am processing how touched I am by The Namesake and I plan to talk about it sometime soon.

I am glad you have this wonderful relationship with your mother and can meditate not only on what she means to you, but also on what she is as a person.

Peace!

Pekky
