You should also review this phone on http://www.epinions.com - I use it a lot to read customer reviews before buying any product. Your's would be a great help for people to decide (not) to purchase this product when their turn comes around.
Moto should really STOP making cell phones. I was damn happy when I got their MPX220 smart phone and as u said, they got everything including windows os.....but what the heck, people just can't hear me when I speak to them...
Are you sure this is not a T-Mobile issue ? I have V300 and it is the sucks but I'm willing to give them ( Motorola ) the benefit of the doubt since T-Mobile reception in my neighbourhood is terrible for people not using Moto-phones as well.
It's a 3 band moto, so it's as good as it's gonna get. I'm in a big Metropolis and others who have T-mob claim it to be excellent... so I do think it's the phone. One poor sap at Cnet agrees. And I've posted my scathing comments there quickly so others don't make my mistake.
Every motorola phone I've encountered (owned 2 personally - and many friends owned them), with the exception of the RAZR, has been a step backwards in wireless technology.
U know. there are hard core lines drawn on where you want to use the so called available features on fones these days. U have to to be really smart in letting away some to use the one u need at no cost.
And about the call quality and stuff. Motorola is one cheap fone. They said, I have to turn off and on for JVM(the thing thats needed for so called smart application to work on ur fone) for it function properly. Hearing this, it seemed so stupid that they give the burden to the user to shutdown and turn on the fone. So what i did, I gave way to Nokia for my motorola. May be u can do too, they have some 1 month grace period where u can say u didnt like the modeel.
