why aren't things peaceful? why can't people try harder for peace it'd be the best thing that could ever be achieved. i really think so, and i'm really trying, so if you read this, do whatever you can, with whomever, to just make peace. it might just make some people happy, and happiness is contagious. Universal peace cannot be achieved because people are inherently too obsessed with power and having control. Both of those things can be acquired through violence, fear, and extremism. Relgion also plays a large role. Most of them claim to be working towards peace, but either they choose a path of blood to get there or breed political and moral conflict. It's the same reason people won't trade in their SUVs for a fuel-efficient hybrid even though they know it would help everyone. They want power by having the big car that consumes gas and can knock everything else off the road. It feeds their ego. To put it simply people want to have the comfort of having power so they won't stop breeding conflict until they have it. Then someone else comes along and tries to take it. So it's a big cycle.
