Liking the Mallory introspection a lot. I especially love the stories where she kinda redeems herself for the "woe is me" mentality all throughout the series. I like Mary Anne in this story, too, and I never really liked her as much when I was growing up, but here she does "sparkle." Great job!
Thanks! :) I like Mallory; I actually always loved her in the books and it wasn't until I came back to the series years later that I realized how whiny and pathetic she often was. I like being able to redeem her a little bit. :)
She wasn't a favorite, but I liked her, too, because I definitely related to all her insecurities and everything. Same thing, reread and realized the whiny much later, and I agree, it is fun to redeem her a bit.
Oh my gosh, I love it!!!! It's perfect!!!! The Mallory and Mary Anne characterizations are fabulous, and I loved that you were able to work in my three things. Awesome possum!!! :D *bounces* Thank you again! You're amaziiing!
Great story. You really captured how hard it must have been for her to move back to Stoneybrook and fit back into her life when things have changed since she went away to boarding school. And I loved all the little things that she missed that added up to make her want to come back. (Nicky and politics? That's great)
Thanks very much! I was going for some of that tension around moving back... wanting to be in two places at once is hella hard. I am going to read your story now!!
