Well, all I have to say is this: Despite how much this hurts me to admit, cheerleaders have worked hard to get recognized as athletes and what not. Sure, they always got attention because everyone absolutelly adores them and they're the center of attention at the games. But, that wasn't enough for them, so they wanted to be a sport. They worked hard and now are considered a sport. Persistance and dedication. Sure, we band geeks know band is way more of a sport than cheerleading, but we need to pursuade others to realize this, too. We should protest. Go on strike until the local newspaper does something about the marching band.
