I love every single thing about this fic. I have a lot of feelings on this topic, and so much of this matches up with my own head canon, and all of it just perfect.

Like in my mind, Leslie got her love for government, her stubbornness, and her determination from her mom -- but she got her enthusiasm, dreaminess, and love of parks from her dad. I loved this line. If this were canon, I think it would explain a lot about Leslie - her old house and all its clutter, the scrapbooking, the anniversaries, etc.
