I love how this is done in short but incredibly telling pieces. Also, for some reason, this snippet's my favorite:

OK, you know I don't really read anything except gen, but (a) it's you and (b) it's you, so hell, I gave it a whirl. And yay! This was so awesome! The details are so clever, creating a whole world of associations and telling so much with so little. And and and I was getting so sad when it looked like Annie and Auggie's relationship wasn't working, but then you fixed it in an awesome way! \o/

So really, I love both Auggie and Jai (and Annie, natch), and I really just want them to be this awesome ass-kicking, crime-fighting team. And this is basically that. You are awesome. ♥

I might have sniffed a little because I feel so honoured that you would read this! I was sad too when writing that Annie and Auggie weren't working out because psst but I think I ship them a lot and they weren't working and it broke my heart but it was the only way I could think of a threesome properly working between these three and the whole point of this story was the threesome-ness kinda, but I think I failed with that, but yes, awesome ass-kicking, crime-fighting team whee! ♥

Oh, this is nice, I love the genuine affection for all of them that comes through. I must admit I'm still to an extent trying to figure out what I think of Jai, but I feel like I should like him, so that's a good sign.
