The Olympic Torch going through London today is hilarious! I am so glad people are protesting and have the right to protest! On the live news footage of its journey people keep getting arrested and pulled out of the way and there is banners and attempted torch snatches and crowds shouting. Its brilliant! I love a good protest.

damn those pesky Chinese and Tibet! people are protesting over Tibet, human rights, and possibly anything else they can think of to protest about

The torch moves along with British celeb sports people and tv folk surrounded by 11 Chinese "torch guardians" and then a ring of British police. someone from the crowd tried to use a fire extinguisher to put it out from the side! lol

so far its travelled from Greece through turkey and some other countries and in every country is huge protests! its just amusing.
I am hoping someone steals it from the side and runs away with it or it goes out!

Thy Olympics are in China and China made some promises about hosting the Olympics like they would improve their human rights record. They have actually got worse since. They want to show what a wonderful place China is and all the Western countries want to use it to pressure them and make changes.

Its going to be an hilarious Olympics of protests and politics. If it goes ahead still and its going to be a lottery about which countries would boycott it.

Basically it should never have been awarded to China in the first place without them making some major changes and promises. The Olympic Association's choice and possible pay off to choose them now means its a hugely political event like Moscow etc. Maybe the Olympics is always a huge international political thing, the sport part comes last ;)

Did you see the ITN cameraman getting beaten down by the Police. Truly a moment to be proud of being British.

I did feel so proud whilst drinking tea and eating a scone (it was really a marks and spencers hot cross bun, I do apologise).

Hope you are well! I miss stalking you!
