Love the baby elephants! And LOL at the quasi-Maasai warrior outfit. If you were a true "tourist" you would have eaten it right up. Good thing you're a traveler instead.

Nope! Just my little Canon point and shoot! It was behind a fence, though. A little fence, but a fence nonetheless.

I'm showing this entry (and the others *hint hint*) to my Mum, so she knows that it's safe for a girl to go on her own!

The baby elephants are so cute. Look how tiny they look in comparison to the keeper.

I'm working on it! I didn't expect anyone to find this one just yet - you're a sneaky bunch. *g*

I really wanted to take an elephant or two home with me.

OMG...I would have given anything to be on this ONE day with you! Baby elephants, then a museum with hominid skeletons and fossils! And then on to a snake museum!!!

I just finished reading a book called "Modoc" which is supposedly a true store (although I question a bit of it) about a circus elephant and her human...made me cry. True to your observance of emotional and devoted animals...it's an amazing read if you are in to non-fiction. By Ralph Helfer.

You would have LOVED it! It was so great - one of my best days (aside from safari, that is). And I'm adding that book to my to be read list!
