McCoy had declined to heal that.
Now he had a little communication to deliver - in person seemed the most goddamn efficient way.
McCoy considered using his medical override - as a senior officer he had every right - but Rien would cry over it. He buzzed the door.

McCoy stood, stepped close enough to clap Harris on the shoulder - though he didn't.
"You come down to Sickbay, for a physical."
He'd checked Rien and she'd been clean but you could never be too careful.

Travis did not like getting physicals done, and he'd had his annual just five months ago. But whatever. If he pretended that McCoy actually was Rien's dad, then he would of done it, so he nodded.

He had kind of been hoping to unwind from this whole fucked up conversation with a video game or something, and fortify himself for the next time he needed to deal with McCoy.
Or maybe it'd be better to get it over with.
