I do, wholeheartedly understand the Pro-life argument. On a personal level, I am pro-life, but I cannot tell another person what to do with their body and I dont think in this country we should be allowed to.
so....
THIS drives me insane ( Read more... )

I'll refrain from expressing my well known opinion on this matter, aside from saying I think this Bill is a good thing.

the only thing a bill like this will really do.. is make those women who truly want the abortion go to another state.

No matter how hard you try to deny someone from doing something, they will find a way. Though i see an argument from the masses asking weather this is really constitutional or not.

and it's going to get ugly!

I know you are I are on totally different wavelengths on this one and I can actually say I totally get your perspective because on strictly personal level...I could never do anything like that, but I just cant let it sit with me to have any governmental office dictate what I do with my own body because it may be immoral in the eyes of every christian on the planet, and I may agree with them, but not everyone is christian and I cannot force my own moral beliefs on others...its just not what I believe a government is for.

i'm pro-situational-choice. so i guess i'm pretty much pro-life.

matters of incest, rape or where the mother's life is endangered by the pregnancy; she *should* be given the option to terminate the pregnancy.

though if you're stupid enough to have done something knowing the consequences and didn't use any sort of prevention..then that is a problem that you'll just have to deal with.

I don't believe it should be used as an "out" by no means. As a matter of fact, I don't think it should be used except for the first 3 reasons listed. No woman should be allowed to show up every other month and ask for an abortion. Just as much as there should not be women who have more and more children just so they can collect bigger welfare checks.

BUT! as a woman, i would want the choice there for me if i ever needed it.

Perhaps its easier to understand as women because this directly affects us.
