Summary: What made Amy open her eyes following her close encounter with the weeping angels?
River cupped the red-head’s chin in one hand and stroked her cheek with the other. ‘Amy.’ Her voice came as softly as the wind that carried it, but deep and rich like chocolate. ‘Amy, I need you to trust me. Can you do that?’ She was staring intently at the young woman’s closed eyes, a mass of blonde curls and fiery red entwining in the gust. Amy nodded silently as River leant in to such a close proximately that they were breathing the same air.
The older woman’s words were spiked with danger, hoarse with anticipation. ‘Fuck me.’
Amy’s eyes shot open. ‘See,’ River continued, still under her breath, but with a smirk of triumph. ‘I told you they were gone.’ And then as if she had just told Amy that it was a Monday, River got up and made her way over to the Doctor, leaving the red-head sat confused and open mouthed. But at least now she was also open-eyed.
