Shoefleesims' Multiple Pollination Technician Replacement Set!

Aug 22, 2008 01:16

So for the longest time I've used Fwiffo's Multi-PT set, which I love. I recently switched to simgaroop's Graslaxian PT Set, which I love as well. But I've yet to manage to find a set that combines a pretty sim with actual alien characteristics. In other words, I wanted sims that looked Alien, but not Scary. So I decided to make my own!

This set comes with four pollination technicians: Two Males, Two Females, one of each hair color. Two of them have slightly-than-larger eyes. The other two have eyes that are tilted interestingly. They almost all have slim noses (but not to the extreme of the Maxis PT), pointed ears (in variations of sizes), and high cheekbones with sculpted faces. I made them all myself, from scratch, in Bodyshop.

Unfortunately for me, I can't use SimPE. And by that, I mean that if I have it open for more than a minute or two, it slows my entire system to a painful crawl. Luckily for me, I have some amazing people on my friend's list! The wonderful and amazing thiskindofchaos was so kind as to take my bodyshop-created aliens and make them into PTs in her SimPE, then test them and send them back to me. If you're curious, she used simgaroop's illustrated tutorial. Thank you SO MUCH to thiskindofchaos, without you this wouldn't be possible. THANKS!

So, these PTs, while shown with MY defaults, will show with your defaults in game. Please remember:

• You can only have ONE PT replacement set in at a time. You need to remove any other PT replacements before installing these.

Now, for bigger pictures of all the PTs, and examples of potential alien children!

Here are the two female pollination technicians. Details:

• Pollination Technician #78: Blond hair, based loosely off Datura Flora. Slightly-larger-than-normal eyes, thin nose, pointy ears, thinner lips relatively normal face shape.
• Pollination Technician #65: Black hair, created entirely from scratch. Slightly-tilted eyes, semi-thin nose, pointy ears, plumper lips and high cheekbones.

The two male pollination techs! Details:

• Pollination Technician #112: Red hair, based loosely off Sprout Flora. Eyes that are larger than normal, but not freakishly so. Thin nose, pointy ears, chiseled jaw/face.
• Pollination Technician #39: Brown Hair, created by scratch in bodyshop. Slightly-tilted eyes, semi-thin nose, arched eyebrows, large pointy ears and smaller lips.

So, in the effort to have a breeding sample, here are the testers! The lovely lady on the left is Testula Tube; she has recessive red hair, recessive green eyes and face template one. The one the right is Test Tube; he has recessive blond hair, recessive blue eyes and face template one.

Both of our testers are, to their chagrin and confusion, subsequently abducted multiple times.

And they are both returned, with sore buttocks, multiple times. They are not amused.

And the baby-making commences! I now have for your informative breeding pleasure, a toddler to adult view of a child from each PT.

Here is Artemis, daughter of Pollination Technician #78 (blond-haired female).

And here is Poseidon, son of Pollination Technician #39 (brown-haired male, and my favorite PT in the set).

This is Hera, daughter of Pollination Technician #112 (red-haired male).

And this is Hestia, daughter of Pollination Technician #65 (black-haired female, my second-favorite PT of the set).

And these are a few extra breeding results. On the left if Athena, who was the daughter of the blond-haired PT, but received her mother's red hair. In the middle is Zeus, who is the son of the red-haired male PT. And on the far right is Pandora, my favorite of all the alien spawn, who incidentally is the daughter of my favorite PT, the brown-haired male.

I can confirm that the PT hack works in all ways that it should. While I cannot see PTs in my sim's family trees, it is because I only have base game and nightlife. Thankfully, thiskindofchaos, who helped me make these PTs by doing the editing in SimPE, tested them in her game and has reported that they do show up on the Family Tree.

I hope that the pictures of the PTs and the images of the alien children you could possibly achieve, has made you want to have this Multi-PT Set for your game. If so, read on:
