I'm still reeling a little from the death of my father. I was really looking forward to spending more time with him. Even though his Alzheimers' made it increasingly impossible to have any kind of meaningful conversations, I was going to try to be more connected to my family, and take on some of the caregiving burden. *hugs*. I'm so sorry, and I'm glad you're out there to be with your family...yet another reason your move to BC was meant to be. I think it's amazing that you have his music to keep with you.

And what a beautiful poem. Who wrote it?

Thanks, and I'm glad I'm here too. What I posted was an excerpt from a poem called "In Memory of You", written by a palliative care nurse whose name I can't recall. Mom found that it resonated with her, and decided to include it with the death notice she sent to family and friends.

Me too - although my first Christmas with Jeff wasn't the joyful celebration we had hoped for, I was very grateful to be close to my family, and to have him feel that he was also a part of the Atchison clan.
