Yes, it took much longer than anticipated, but I believe the issue of non-access to the InterNet is now resolved. Hallelujah!
During my absence, my family and I have experienced emergency hospitalizations, planned hospitalizations, surgeries, and other health issues. Love is doing much better since they stented his legs, just like in his heart. My

A conference, huh?? Which one? They're great. I love them. For the first one, go in without expecting ANYTHING. Just like it happen. Take out of it what you get and you'll come out with much more than you would have if you went in expecting anything specific.
After you have one under your belt, you'll know what you want to get out of the next and the next, etc.

It's named Killer Nashville. It's in August. I think it's mostly for mystery writers. But aren't they all for ALL genres? Anyway, I'll find out when I'm there. I'm just jazzed I'm going!
All I'm expecting is to work where I've volunteered, soak up the energy, and learn, learn, learn. I don't think that's setting the bar too high. Oh! And meeting people. Definitely looking forward to that part.
It's official. I applied for SSA - and got it. I applied for SSI disability. Got the expected denial letter on Monday and a call from the representative on Tuesday telling me that's an error. I actually got approved on my first try. Apparently that's extremely rare, from what I've been told by others. Anyway, I have to wait while they process the whole thing or whatever, but I'm figuring that's 'incidentals' money while I'm in Tennessee. Ooh-rah!

I've been to other subject conferences. The excitement and energy is amazing. I figure it'll be like that in Nashville at the Killer Nashville conference as well. Apparently it's for mystery writers mostly. How perfect!
I'll take 'my impressions' notes and get back to you. BUT the conference isn't until late August. Be patient.

I'm delighted to be back.
I have agreed to help with some pre-conference work and some on-site help for this conference. I just had to warn 'em I'm slow and walk with a cane. But I also advised I'm determined. I can start up a conversation with strangers in an elevator. Thanks for the tip; I know it's something I can do.
