See, I'd popped over to check my TV Tropes watchlist earlier and noted an edit on the Seltzer & Friedberg page, which I have spent some while nurturing from bare crumbs into a tasty snarkeriffic treat

I basically gave up writing for Wikipedia. It felt as if I were being held to standards I didn't understand and that were subject to frequent change without warning.

Yeah, I can understand the feeling. :P It's even worse when it happens on TVTropes, because the very informality they pride themselves on means there's really nowhere to go to appeal effectively.
