Well, you're welcome to a slice when it gets made. I'm sure it'll be great. The recipe seems pretty straight forward, and like it'll be a good winter food.

That's right. You said you were interested, right? Even if not, though, would you lend me a hand in making them? I mean that seriously. I don't know if I can make a pie crust one-handed.

It's something I wanted to try myself, anyway. If she won't eat it, I plan on at least trying to recruit her into helping make it.

You can substitute garlic and onion powder, I found some in a spice cabinet.

As for oatmeal...well, there's a box of it the scientists have left for us in the kitchens, but its the instant packet kind, and I'm not sure it would work, and...they're apple cinnamon and maple brown sugar flavored.

Huh.

Apple is sometimes a flavor that goes pretty well with meat, but I'm not so sure about cinnamon...

We...can always give it try and see?

I'm also wondering about the maple flavor. Some sweetness might be sort of nice. I wonder if there's enough ingredients to make both.

A meat pie. Hopefully.

Do they taste good? It sounds kind of strange.

Sure they taste good. Are you being mislead by the idea that a pie has to be sweet?
