Happy New Year.

You know... back home, it's supposed to be something like, "the way you spend January 1st will reflect your entire year." [...] Well, I had a vision too, but I kinda thought mine was - nice. "Comforting." I think it's my future. I really hope it is. But... guess I'm the minority....If anyone needs anything... you know, I'm a useful ( Read more... )

I saw someone I care about. So I guess that's not too bad. Just makes me feel a little sad.

I'm glad for you. That you saw them... and that you weren't stuck with, you know... the other stuff. Sad?

Yeah.

Well, I miss him. I hope he's okay by himself.

I'm sure he is? Or, at least, I hope so, too.

If that's true, then your vision and feelings are a good sign for the rest of the year.

I hope so. But I still feel bad... being in the minority like that.

Happiness is rare here. You shouldn't feel bad for feeling it.

I won't feel bad for being glad, but I will that others aren't.

... Maybe not how some radian spends their time but what they get from today's events are zetta likely to determine how they spend the remaining 364 days? The first part seems like garbage.

It's just an old fashioned belief. If you spend the first day of the new year well, your whole year will go smoothly. But if bad things happen, it's supposed to be a bad omen. It's mostly superstition... but I guess, considering the stuff that's going on right now... it really could make a lasting impact.

That little yoctogram might have obliterated everything I built up in Shibuya, but I'm not going to let him zetta destroy--... Feh. Whatever, superstitions are garbage.

Sorry. Anyway, Happy new year. I guess.

No problem. Thanks. Happy new year.

...

"No big deal..."

It's - all pretty worrying to look at. I can't even think of anything to say, let alone to say it to everyone... so I'm just ignoring it and feeling a little bad.

A curious saying.... Would that it were true. And if you are indeed in the minority, as you say, I suppose that I must be as well, as my vision was also rather...comforting.

Yeah, there's probably a more proper way of phrasing it that I don't know... guess it's a nice idea, though.

It was? That's great. I'm glad for you.

I agree, quite a nice idea in theory - although I suppose it all depends upon the manner in which one spends the first of January.

That is most kind of you. And I am glad for you as well, since, as you said, it seems that many people have only experienced visions of an unpleasant or disturbing nature.

Well, back home, it's the tradition to stay home and do nothing except eat on New Year's Day - you know, kinda like intentionally going out of your way to make it lazy and nice - but yeah, it's probably just wistful thinking.

Yeah. I feel kinda bad about all that... I mean, not just 'kinda...' I wish there was something I could do, but it seems that a lot of these experiences are pretty personal, so...
