Everyone, please be careful of the dangers of mistletoe. First, as it turns out, I've heard it's inedible. Even plants are inedible sometimes. Second, it is a trap. If you didn't know, mistletoe means "I will kiss you now" in I think some European language. So whenever two people stand under it, they kiss.

H-Hey, what about the Christmas spirit, dude?

It's not like everyone who likes mistletoe is impure...

In my opinion, you should only kiss people you love.

But it's still very funny to see, so go on and do what you want.

I dunno where that person is right now...

Man, I don't wanna be pegged as an "impure" guy...

It can't be helped. Most people are impure, though. It's not necessarily a bad thing. Even if you look at it scientifically.

You have someone like that? I didn't think you did.

I've always considered impropriety to be a matter of what culture you're going by.

Well, I could do it by my culture, but I still think no matter where you're from, it's awfully forward to just kiss people out of nowhere. If it's a plant doing it, y'know, it's a bit mean. I don't think it's that serious, though. It's mostly funny.

Yes, I can definitely see the humorous situations brewing. By the way, is my japanese coming through clearly? I've been getting back into the language after so long not using it.

It's pretty great. Just the sort of thing I needed to cheer up. Maybe that makes me a mean person, though. [Laughter]

It's great, it's great. You have an interesting accent, but mostly I'm jealous of how fluent in languages you are.

I think the tradition has something to do with Norse mythology...

I see. So it's "Norse."

What country is that?

It has to do with ancient Scandinavia.

Because of the mistletoe? I don't think it's bad, necessarily, not if you're considerate about it.

I guess it's...Christmasy, after all?
