You make a point, but I think it comes back to how the whole thing was contingent on him being crazy and not thinking. Wanting to prove time was his bitch now. If he wasn't so focused on that, yeah, going with your idea probably a better one.

I agree he was a bit beyond logic at that point, but…there was a lot of time before that. In which people died horribly.

If he's put in a situation where there isn't supposed to be another way, a sane way, I want that to be true.
