I finally got the Senior job and people are being jerks about it. I honestly don't care too much, only that I have to work with those jerks and it's hard to make jerks respect you when they never wanted to in the first place. It'll be fine in a few weeks ( Read more... )

I think it comes down to 2 considerations under the umbrella of "quality of life":
1. will leaving your current work environment make your life better
2. will the move look better on your CV (it probably will)

You wouldn't be letting down your current employer in that you yourself said there were multiple qualified applicants for your position. They didn't choose you for *your* sake, they chose you for *their* sake. You are an employee.

So if they can fill the position easily, and your coworkers are being jerks to you, to me that says "move!"

Also switching jobs might allow you to attempt to negotiate better pay? Maybe? It's worth a shot if they're specifically recruiting you.

And may I point out that you're so awesome they're asking specifically for you (and only one other person)!!!
