Olly and I finally got our "date" last week. We went to see a movie in town, and we ended up choosing Book of Eli. It had terrible reviews on RT, especially compared to alternatives, but it was not a bad pick for a theatre view ( Read more... )

There are so many films out this week that I wanna see that I doubt I'll get round to seeing this. Who knows though. Day of tomorrow and Im not tied to going to see what Tracy wants to see, so might give this a check.

I'd say go in expecting it to be shite. It only got a 44% on RT, and if you expect it to be about a 44% then you might be pleasantly surprised. I think I just got a huge post-apoc hard-on w/ the film, plus the combination of Washington + Oldman. I wasn't annoyed I'd seen it at all but I doubt it'll win any awards (apart from visuals... pretttyyyyyy)
