There's this great layout made by deanbean08 @ ch33ky_duck that you can find in my Memories. It's perfect as is, but if you want to customize it, please ask for their permission first.

Where to find other custom layouts:

Here's a random header you're free to use wherever:

Thanks, raachel2008! It was by trial and error. I took the basic CSS coding for a layout I found at mintyapple. Then made a header and put that in. Borrowed a background from another layout I found at the site. And then messed around with the different colors.

I really recommend that you go there! They make great customized layouts and give you the instructions in an easy-to-understand manner. If you like their version as is, all you have to do is copy and paste it into your Journal Style CSS Customization box...and voila! You're done!

I can try making one for you. Just give me the basic structure that you want (i.e. link me to the original CSS code). And then, if you want different colors or a different header, just let me know. And I'll make one for you. :)

Aww, how sweet of you! I'll give it a try by myself, and if I can't, I will cry for help. I could pay you with fic! :)

You didn't ask permission to use my layout code as a base so could you please remove this - all you did was chnage a few colours, that isn't making a layout this is just customizing it.

I'm sorry. I found this on mintyapple and left your name in the coding as the creator of the base. I should've said "customized" instead of "made" -- not really familiar with the lingo. Also, in the live preview, your name is credited. But regardless. I'll take down the stuff.

mintyapple isn't a place to find bases; it is a place for people who actually code layouts to post/crosspost - people are supposed to take the code and use it only for themeselves, you can't customize it and upload it yourself - it doesn't matter if you give credit or not it is still taking credit for someone elses hard work.

I guess I'm not up on my layout etiquette. I truly apologize for it. As I said, I'm not a layout maker. I am sorry if it seemed like I was trying to take credit for you hard work. I try my best to credit everyone for their own work, regardless of whether it's layouts, icons, etc.

Also, I purposely only left it on my page for my friends to use. I wasn't trying to publicize it anywhere on any of the typical layout places. It was just for fun. Something I did on a late night instead of sleeping.

However, now I know better. So, thank you for informing me. I appreciate it.
