Here you have people that are more-or-less strangers that improvise not quite knowing what sound they are after. A cappella piece like Biebl's takes many days of rehearsals in order to achieve the perfection of blended voices; it also involves 2-5 times more singers than they had. It is absolutely necessary to hear every voice in a choir to sing it right. I guess they took individual takes, put them together, listened, adjusted their voices: many, many times over - just like Arnie of Yavne'el does when he drums with his Canadian students. It also appears to me that there are more voices than they show in the video, so it could be that they had several voice overs from each soloists (sometimes they show two portraits, when it becomes too obvious). I wonder what a professional musician would make of it. I am impressed.
