Happy 2013, everyone! I hope everyone had a pleasant holiday (I know, it's been a few weeks).

I should really keep better track of my going-ons! I guess I'll go back a month and recap!

I am so stoked you are finally going to Japan!

I just wanted to point you towards this in case you weren't aware.. depending on what you're doing in Japan, I would highly highly recommend getting a Rail Pass. It's only available to foreigners and it's VERY economical for traveling around Japan. You basically get unlimited travel throughout Japan on the rail, and you can get a one week, a two week or a three week pass.
