Don't be brainwashed! DDs are not "healthy" but they're not nearly as bad as everyone believes either.
Calories are respectable for a meal (540), but it's about *balancing* the fat in it with the rest of your diet. For a low carb diet, the DD is the *perfect* meal. :)
Just wish the nearest KFC wasn't completely terrible so we could try them.
You are right, they are not quite as bad as the first impression, especially in regards to overall calories. At any rate, there is a the fat thing that you mention, but probably what gets me a little more is just the sodium content, 1300mg for the regular and 1400 for the grilled (which I still wonder about). I was literally gulping down a mouthful of water with every bite I took.
My final judgment: tasty for what it is, just too salty. And I still do want to try the grilled version, maybe after rinsing it off with distilled water first....

But most people have their laser eyes on the fat, not realizing that's better for them than a bleached flour bun.
