This is one of my favorite passages: She sat just outside the wood near the swing, curled small, until the cold shook her, and still she didn't move. For a long time, I didn't know what she was doing. I watched her. Part of me wanted to go to her, though instinct sang against it. The desire sparked a thought which sparked a memory of golden woods, days floating around me and falling around me, days lying still and crumpled on the ground. But I realized then what she was doing, folded there, trembling with the vicious cold. She was waiting, waiting for the cold to shake her into another form. Maybe that unfamiliar scent I caught from her was hope. She waited to change, and I waited to change, and we both wanted what we couldn't have.
The longing in Sam's voice here is so real and I feel it down to my bones. To me, this quote describes Sam and Grace's relationship. They both want each other with every fiber of their being, but Sam's animal form and Grace's human form prevent them from being together. It's beautiful in its tragedy.

Aww man I've been trying to get a hold of this book for months because where I live *out of the US* they do not stock this book in any of the libraries and as much as I would love to buy it on the internet its not happening, I found this book through related books in amazon *books I would want to read* and it sounds amazing from the few chapters online I've read. I hope I get it soon in order to discuss with other people about it. Wow that passage sounds amazing!!! *grinding teeth in desperation*

Hi, I know that this is an old post, but I was wondering if you could send me a copy? I'll send money first, I'd just need an address. I just ordered a load of books off Amazon and my parents won't let me get Shiver. Thanks!
Every thing about this book had my little heart by the strings. Sam...so sweet and broken, I want to touch him.
My fave scene....um, would be the bathtub, because he is act his worst, scared of how Grace will react, and the part where they go all the way...because he is so sweet and gentle with her.
I thought the ending was perfect. At first I didn't know where it would go, but it was perfect.
I loved how they seemed so real, like I was there watching it all unfold, not just reading it.
:D Shiver's my new favorite book. The characters are different, but their passion for each other brings them alive. I feel like I've known them all my life and I can identify with Grace so much. I loved how it wasn't a generic werewolf book, and that Grace isn't some sappy, vapid girl. She's a bit more 'reserved' as in she doesn't like hitting up random parties. I absolutely adore the imagery throughout the book; I didn't have to try very hard and I could see the scene perfectly
