And of course, I can't help returning without a movie post. This one is the big one:

THE GOLDEN COMPASS!

The His Dark Materials books are some of the (VERY) few books I've managed to get my generally-not-interested-in-reading brother to know and love. His b-day is 7 Dec. so I'll be taking him out to see it then. There aren't any early showings here in the Bay Area, unfortunately. ;_;

I can't read His Dark Materials anymore unless I have a whole day free, because I tend to put off everything else I need to do and just read through the books when I open any one of them. It's like a drug! ;_;
