(Comm Activity) The Shitenhouji Trivia Challenge!
Because there was a good response from the previous activity post, we’ve decided to run our first shitenhoji community activity of the new year starting Monday, January 3rd!
The Shitenhouji Trivia Challenge!

Overview-
*Each week, (Monday, Japan Standard Time; JST) for the first 4 weeks of the month of January, 4 trivia questions about the Shitenhouji school and its tennis club members will be posted to the community. Participants in the game comment (screened) to that post with their answers to the questions. At the end of each week, when I post the next batch of questions, the previous question post will be closed to new comments. The final week (January 31st, 2011), I will post all of the participants’ scores.
*Questions will range in difficulty from easy to hard with 4 levels of questions. Level 1 questions are worth one point, level 2 questions are worth 2 points, etc. Partial points may be awarded for answers that are almost correct (i.e. misspelled words but correct content, half-correct information, etc), so it’s best to guess, even if you aren’t sure! All judgments for partial point-awarding is left to the game moderators’ (hughes_maes and omicheese) discretion.
Specific Rules-
*Only comment once to each question post. If you messed up an answer but realise it before the end of the week, you are free to edit your comment or delete it and re-post a new comment within the time limit for that post.
*You may not comment on past question posts after that round is closed. You also may not edit any comments in past question posts, as the new answers will not be counted.
*Answers to the previous week's questions will be posted at the beginning of the new week (i.e. at the same time as the next round of questions).
*In the case of a question involving a Japanese title or name, we will accept either the English translation or original Japanese (romanji or kana).
*You do not have to answer every question to be awarded points. For instance, if you participate the first week, miss the second and third, but finish up with the last week of questions, the total score from the questions you answered will be counted. You also do not have to answer every question each week.
*Prizes will be awarded to the top five people with the highest scores. Winners may choose between the three prize options (detailed below). In the case of merchandise, prizes will be shipped out within two weeks of receiving the winner’s address. In the case of a fanwork prize (fanart or fanfiction), prizes will be posted within one month of receiving the requested prompt.
Prizes-
The top five (5) people with the most correct answers get their choice of one of the following prizes:
A small official Shitenhouji merchandise from Animate (i.e. a Shitenhouji keychain, file folder, cellphone sticker, Shiraishi chapstick, etc.)
OR
A short fanfic (pairing of choice) written by either hughes_maes or omicheese (Rating up to PG-13, 1000 word limit, prompt required)
OR
A monochrome fanart (character of choice) drawn by imma_holiday (Rating up to PG-13, single character request will be drawn fully illustrated/detailed, more than one character request will be drawn in chibi-style, vague prompt -such as an emotion- is required) [deviantart gallery for a sample of her art style located here]
