If you want to go ahead and take a look at some of the things I write.... I typically use a different journal on LJ for posting stuff....
sheridannotala is the journal I typically use, though I'll sometimes post stuff on shiruartist...
I don't really write a whole lot of yaoi... or any at all really... though I have a sequel for a story of maderr's in the works... ^^
(I also have an almost canon yaoi pairing in another story that I am working on... with predominately vampire fantasy...)
I typically write het or yuri.... Sometimes in regular RL type settings (mostly in drabbles/snippets)... I but like to write fantasy a whole lot and I typically write in fantasy settings for longer stories.
What type of fantasy do I like? All. Vampires, dragons, weres, ogres, sorcerers, mages, witches etc. ^^

ARGH. Yeah.
But, for me, I have to go do research for my fantasy... I really like to flesh out my stories and have all sorts of things popping up... and for that, it requires I know something about how ecosystems and geology and geography work etc.
My RL stuff never goes so far that I have to do research... >> It usually just stays very small (drabbles, etc.) and social-interactions oriented.
