In the pic, what do you call that type of art? I'm wondering because I love it but I've never known the name of it. Beautiful stuff.

It is called A Solitary Temple Amid Clearing Peaks and is attributed to the artist Li Cheng. It is a hanging scroll, ink on silk, and is a very good example of the monumental painting, which is most commonly found during the Northern Song Dynasty.

Wow, I blew a large part of my exam - I got painting name and attributed artist wrong!

Thanks for the info! I love this style of art. It's so beautiful.

So if I were to google it would I put in monumental paintings? Or does this type of art (the ink on the scroll) the way it's drawn does that have it's own...type, style? (i'm not sure of the wording).
