In other news, chapter 3 of the NuTrek horse racing AU is up and it is longer than the first two chapters combined. What the holy hell

Oh, God, I physically flinched when I saw sesamoid fracture. I'm not a racer, but I hang around with and take care of horses and... just. God. Poor Red Hood.

The end of the chapter is very fist-punchingly "fuck yeah" but. Red Hood. :( I'm with Jim.

I've followed or read about too many racehorses losing their lives either by taking a bad step or having some kind of freak accident back at the barn. It's just so goddamn sad. I'm already bracing myself for bad news during this year's Road to the Triple Crown.

... on the other hand, I am very happy to hear that there was enough "action" in the chapter and fic to warrant a fist-punching "fuck yeah".
