As of now the fanboying prompt fill Rocketship has taken over my brain. I'm shelving most everything else - except editing WAP, fffffff why am I going nowhere with that? I can't have a repeat of the DCBB's revision hell - until I make good enough progress that my brain stops spitting ideas at me ( Read more... )

There is nothing wrong with plot beating porn. Plot is so rare when porn, well, isn't.

I just feel bad because I left Free Fall Melody hanging at the quickie and I have a few paragraphs where Sam's gonna whip out the weed (lololol) but I can't bring myself to write the smoking/shotgunning/sex when there is all this plot going on in the other fill. Plot is like porn to me; I have to really work at the porn to get it right.

I really don't like leaving people hanging is all, :[ And thanks for the luck on the WAP revision - it's getting red inked all over the place and I'm not even at the scene with Zuse yet oh god.

Doesn't bother me! I'd take a long plotty fic over a PWP any day, but then I have to admit that I'm biased. Porn, for me, is boring. I only read it if it's in an established story and moves the plot along.

...that was a rather rambly way of telling you that at least one member of your audience doesn't mind. *sits in the corner and cheers you on*

nothing wrong with that! Loves me some plot. Generally for me it goes like this:

"ok time to write some pron!" but... next thing you know you've written six pages of how-they-got-there and no porn. But like... it's ok because you don't give a fuck :D
Or you shouldn't anyway, because plot is sexy.

Also Rocketship is awesome so far. I cried but it hurt so good.

I'll quite happily go without porn if I get good plot. Porn is a bar of chocolate; plot is steak and baked potatoes. (Or, if you're vegetarian, it's a nice crispy salad.)
