Nice paper, dude :Db and lolol speaking as one myself, be happy that you aren't a comm major because while bits of it ARE interesting, and as a whole I don't quite regret choosing this major, it does add up to an unrelenting wall of THEORY THEORY THEORY and just about nothing relevant for a future job. Thank the gods for the electives and the bare smidgen of actual practical work we get to do, that's all I gotta say!

I think it's just my lazy ass speaking right now omg why am I in class it's fucking raining cats and dogs out there whyyyyyy but I'm more interested in theory. Well, I don't really know what kind of practical work you're supposed to do as a comm major.

Wasn't Rahm a comm major? Or was it Stephen? *memory is ashamed to be so foggy*

Well I'll cop that the theory behind communication itself is interesting, all the nuances that can be found in that and the different theories of world-view that arose as a result-- but at least in my curriculum, you also have to plow through seemingly every variation of extra lecture you can think of where the profs just tack a noun onto the word media. Comm theory, comm politics, comm economy, comm uh pedagogy(?? no idea what to call it in Eng), comm method evaluation, com method results, comm ethics, comm history, comm sociology, comm psychology and so on... Which actually sounds interesting as a whole, but ohoho do the detailed content of most of the lectures ever let you down. DULLTOWN to the max ( ... )

Hmmm, I see. Definitely a different comm program here; my professor spent at least three lectures talking about how San Diego's comm department differs from most other universities, something about three areas of focus and shit. Don't have the notes with me and I can't remember, goes to show what kind of student I am.

Maybe it was Rahm....lol, damn you RBR, wherever I go you're there.

Your paper seems interesting. I can relate.

And that secret? AMAZING. Because season three should have totally been Ianto saving the world with hot beverages instead of "Children of Earth".

Thanks, bb

I just can't stop laughing. How this person completely misunderstood Torchwood is beyond me. Granted I only saw half an episode and everything else I picked up by osmosis and hearsay, but even I knew that Jack wasn't the gay sidekick. Oh god, Jack the gay sidekick and Ianto saving the world through hot beverages and LOL at Gwen's bulging eyes.

I don't know which is the more epic f!s, that one, or the one comparing Sam to the Face of Boe.
