on your (2), I'm sorry to hear that. thinking back... I might be in the same boat. I usually hear 'why are you writing that?' and 'just put the pencil down! go do [whatever I told you before the plot attacked]'. there's no love for writers in this world, I'm telling ya. *big hugs*
