Actually, it turns out that it is the speaker system, not the computer itself. I guess I had the speaker volume up too high or something. The computer is actually whisper quiet.

Glad you're satisfied with the speed. The noise should go away in time. Its probably just a squeaky ball bearing on the fan motor than needs to have the grease spread out a bit to it.

Nope, it's the speakers, not the computer. I didn't have that noise before, though...think it might have to do with the sound card?
