Seems that Robert Jordan, author of the Wheel of Time series of novels, died yesterday after a long-running battle with illness.

Never was a fan of his books, but it's still sad news. R.I.P.

No, Jordan wrote Conan books. I recall being pissed off about them a few times because the weren't new WoT books.
