The variation with honey would work especially in the Shire. I think switchel or "swizzle" (love that variation on the name) would go down well during harvest time, or at a Lithe-day celebration, or really any celebration that might include youngsters ( Read more... )

One of my favourite summer drinks is non-alcoholic; given the ingredients, might be better suited to the Haradrim?

Oooh! That sounds REALLY refreshing; perhaps it could be something the hobbits discover during their stay in Gondor.

Or maybe Aragorn drank it while wandering in Harad. So many possibilities!
