I remember that lovely fic! And now a recipe for Mushroom Stew! Do you know, this is the first one I've ever seen that is completely vegetarian and yet still sounds yummy? I will *definitely* have to give this one a try! It's so very hobbity-sounding as well!

It does sound hobbity, doesn't it? I must admit I haven't tried it myself but it sounds very good. :D

Awwww, Merry is surrounded by so much love and attentive care -- my favorite thing for hobbits to be surrounded with! These are very good lessons he learned.

Thanks dear! Yes, Merry does get quite a bit of love and affection here, but he needs it so I'm happy there are someone to give it to him too. :D

This is such a good story! Merry has a very close call! This is a good lesson for all of us; I didn't know mushrooms should be cooked first. Guess I should have read Merry's herb-lore book.

I love the extended family, and it's such fun to see it from young Merry's point of view.

Hugs and blessings,
Mum

Thank you! I heard somewhere that mushrooms shouldn't be eaten raw and that gave me the idea to this story. :D I'm not sure if it is harmful though, and I do eat raw mushrooms myself (in salad etc).

Hugs and blessings to you too!
